We Moved!

We have been so busy lately. We just moved to a new house, so we have been unpacking and trying to get ourselves organize. We're just renting a house in Overton, right behind the local grocery store, Lin's. It's kind of smaller than we would like to be in, but it's our own place and that's what really matters to us. It's a 3 bedroom, 2 bath with a big backyard, which is great so the kids can play back there.
It's a cute little home and it came with all the appliances except washer and dryer, so Craig had to go buy them for me. Boo Woo! They're LG's and I LOVE THEM! The sad thing about the whole move was that we moved out of our ward boundaries. We loved our ward and we know they will miss us. But I also know that our new ward will need and love us just as much.

Catalina Island

Craig and I went to Catalina Island for our 5th year anniversary. It was so much fun to have some peace and quiet and not have to worry about the kids.

Here is a picture of the boat we went on that took us to and from Catalina. The boat ride was about an hour long from Long Beach. For some reason I always thought Catalina was this small little island, well that is definitely not the case. Catalina actually has 2 ports on it. Two Harbors and Avalon-that's where we went.

The ocean floor is so beautiful. This is Lover's Cove. This Cove is preserve and no one can scuba dive, swim or snorkel here. One of the crew members would feed the fish on deck and all the fish would gather all around to feed. I swear there were hundreds of fish. The HarborThis is the Casino - a one screen theater. That day they were showing Pink Panther 2. (Craig and I were a little lost because we never saw the 1st Pink Panther.)After our tour we rented bikes for the rest of day. Golf carts and bikes are pretty much the only way of transportation on the island but their are a few cars and trucks. This is one of the trails we took.Me and my bike on one of the hardest trails on the island. We had our bikes for about 5 1/2 hours and went on 6 of they 7 trails, I thought I was going to die after this trail. But it was worth it.Craig and his bike Some of the views from the top of the mountainThe Pier.
At the beginning of the pier there is a clothing shop named Yoshi, but I forgot to take a picture of it.Catalina was so beautiful and had a totally different smell, a smell I can't describe-it was so clean and so pure, I could smell the flowers that were 20 feet away from me, the ocean had a smell I have never smelled before and that's how the whole island was. Maybe because there was no pollution, I don't know. But I do know that more than 88% of the island is protected for the wildlife. This is definitely a place to visit again.

Gary & Chanell's Wedding

I can't believe it, they actually did it. They finally got married and it was a long and busy day. In the morning there was a pancake bunch, which turned out to be better then I thought it would be. I think they had a cute guestbook, definitely not a normal guestbook instead; a yearbook like guestbook with lots of pictures of them and lots of space to sign and write a quick note or advice- really cute! Kayla and The Bride ChanellThe three brothers Ryan, The Groom-Gary, and CraigIn between the bunch and leaving for the temple I had to make a poster and organize myself for Sunday - see I'm having a 72 Hour Kit Class in a couple of weeks and I wanted to have a poster demo up for church - thank you David Romney. So after I finished all for that, off to the temple we went. Craig was in one car and Tanya, the kids, Tibi (she was my babysitter for the temple-ya) and myself were in an other car. Craig had to leave early cause Gary had asked him to be his witness during the sealing. The sealing was just beautiful and gave you that sense that everything was going to be alright, you could definitely feel the spirit. The sealer did an awesome job and in my opinion hit all the right points to help them make their temple marriage work and last forever, all the things Gary and Chanell needed to hear. After that PICTURES!My Beautiful Little Rae Rae
After the temple-right over to the reception. They had a beautiful ring ceremony that was given be President James Robison (a member of our stake presidency and Craig's uncle).
It was a very nice reception lots of good food, delicious homemade cake, beautiful weather not to mention the excellent salsa; but it was a lot of fun. Chanell looked absolutely beautiful and Gary was quiet handsome, you could just see them both glowing. I was so glad when this day was over, (for those of you that might know what I'm talking about) but to my special it turned out to be a very good wedding/party. It might have taken a lot at first but it all came together very well in the end. Now they're off on they honeymoon and when they get home-REALITY WILL HIT and it was hit hard.A little frustratedCraig's nieces Kinzi and Mazie just having fun.All the grandkids and grandpaThe CakeThe First DanceKayla and her cousin Troy dancingFather and Daughter and Mother and Son DanceI think Austin is getting tiredKayla and Austin eating cake
